Uniqlo Tate Lates at 311

Branded photo experience for Uniqlo Tate Lates at 311 Oxford Street

Uniqlo Tate Lates event in association with the Tate Modern was held at the brand’s flagship 311 Oxford Street store on February 15th. The series of events for Uniqlo Tate Lates celebrates pioneering contemporary female artists at the Tate.

The Uniqlo Tates Late event was an opportunity to drop in and discover how craft can be a tool for activism by cutting, stitching and personalising their own patch with help from the Craftivist Collection. Visitors took inspiration from Suzanne Lacy’s Crystal Quilt to re-imagine the quilt as an active discussion and human tapestry. The event hashtag and theme was #PatchesofHope and visitors could pose with their protest patch in front of a personalised social media photo pod. Visitors had the option to share their photo or GIF animation instantly from the booth, before walking away with a souvenir Uniqlo Tates Lates photo. The evening event included music and visuals programmed by NTS Radio and branded photo experience.

Uniqlo Tate Lates take place on the last Friday of every month (except December) and is an opportunity to experience the Tate Modern after hours with a mix of artistic activations, world class exhibitions, pop up talks and workshops. Or simply enjoy the space, the music, the views and the delicious food and drink offers.

We worked with Uniqlo in 2016 for their collaboration with LEGO® on their unique LEGO® kids collection. The customised photo pod and backdrop was a complete LEGO® design with matching LEGO® props. Creative communications agency Exposure hosted and installed the activation.
