House Festival 3rd July 2014
In a world where festival tickets have gone up quicker than the cost of living, House Festival 2014 offers something slightly different. House Festival is Soho House’s yearly music and food festival, set in the beautiful grounds of English heritage site, Marble Hill House in Richmond.
If you were preparing to click away from the article and pop over to the House Festival website, I regret to inform you the event is now sold out, so it’s up to you if you want to continue reading what’s in store for this years event. Read it, make a note in the diary for next year and treat yourself to something special on July 3rd to keep your mind wandering off to what might have been.
For the seven thousand festival revelers fortunate enough to get their hands on a ticket, they can begin to look forward to a mouthwatering menu, which includes lobster, paella, hog roasts, BBQs and much more. What makes that taste bud tingling list even more delicious is the ticket price covers all your food, drink and entertainment throughout the day.
And now the music…
If you can pull yourself away from the food stalls, pampering tents and free flowing cocktails, House delivers a line up to rival some of the biggest names on the festival circuit. From UK hip hop champ Dizzee Rascal, R&B duchess Kelis and the much loved Rap legends De La Soul to breakthrough acts Clean Bandit, Grammy nominee MNEK and man of the moment Sam Smith, they’re just some of the names to whet the appetite. Both Sam Smith and Clean Bandit joined us backstage at the Parklife Weekender in Manchester for some photo fun with Bed Head by TIGI.
‘Our second year in Richmond is shaping up to be another big one… and this time round there’s something for everyone’
For the third year running, we’ll be capturing the day from inside two of the festival sponsor tents, the Samsung tent with our interactive social pod and the Talktalk tent with our beautifully designed Photo Wall – both the hotspots will be offering unlimited prints all day for FREE!
The Festival have expanded their relationship with the charity War Child, after selecting them as one of the principle beneficiaries for the second year running.
House Festival 2014 returns this year to Marble Hill House in Richmond on Thursday 3 July, 2pm – 10.30pm.
