Grow Wild is the UK’s biggest-ever wild flower campaign, bringing people together to transform local spaces and native, pollinator-friendly wild flowers and plant.
Grow Wild was part of the Greenpeace area at Latitude Festival, which was tucked away in the woods beside the stunning lake that surrounds the festival. Visitors were able to send a free postcard to their future self with a gift of wild flower seeds, they also had their sparkly Glitter shed inspired by wild flowers and their personalised photo booth encouraging festival goes to share, sow and grow. The Grow Wild photo opportunity featured the hashtag #grewitmyselfie on the photo print outs and social media uploads to help spread awareness of the importance of growing wild flowers and the impact it has on the populations of butterflies, bees, pollinating bugs and birds.
The eco friendly cardboard table tennis table customised specifically for the Grow Wild UK campaign included details about the initiative and what can be achieved by growing Wild flowers. Sustainable games have been a popular feature at festivals this year after creating a Play area with Greenpeace, WaterAid and Oxfam at Glastonbury 2016.
