Alexandra Palace Fireworks Festival 2014 – 1st November
Set against the sparking panoramic views of London, the annual fireworks display at Alexandra Palace is a sight to behold. Taking place on Saturday 1st November, the legendary fireworks show is a magnificent spectacle held high above North London in the beautiful grounds of one of the most historic entertainment venues in the UK.
The fireworks show is also a family fun day with a dedicated Family Zone that will host a funfair, free face painting, and street food vendors serving children’s sized portions so the whole family can eat together. For the adventurous there will be an adult fun fair with some real white-knuckle rides.
Before the extravaganza kicks off at 7:30pm, many of the ticket holders will have the opportunity to indulge in the UK’s largest German Bier Festival when the doors open at 3. The Palace will be transformed into a mini Oktoberfest with a range of authentic German Biers that can be delivered direct to your table by an army of Bavarian Fräuleins. Inside the Festival Village in the West Hall, there will be an Smörgåsbord of food including German sausages and pretzels. With a stomach filled with Germany’s finest beer and food, we imagine it won’t be long until the Oomph! band gets the festival revelers up on their feet doing a rendition of Ein Prosit.
If the spectacular fireworks display and sumptuous German Bier festival wasn’t enough, there will be ice-skating and the return of the biggest musical rivalries of the 1990s, when tribute bands Blurb and Noasis take to the stage. What side of Britpop are you on?
