2014 Round-up Part One – Highlights

There’s been no shortage of excitement at Megabooth HQ in 2014, to help cast our minds back we’ve decided to round-up the year with just some of the highlights from the past 12 months.

Brit Awards 2014

Starting at the most well known and lucrative music awards shows on the UK music calendar, the Brit Awards 2014. With the alcohol flowing and a red carpet bestowed upon by high-profile VIPs and the UK’s (and beyond) finest talent, we made sure the entire night was captured through the lens. After 3 consecutive years showcasing at the Brits, this year we had 4 photo booths and two photographers and the help of some famous faces… well kind of anyway. We Day

We Day is an initiative set up by Free The Children, an international charity helping to engage and empower young people to create change. ‘We Day is helping to create a movement of our time and change for a generation of young global citizens.’ The event sponsored by Virgin Atlantic and Barclays took place at Wembley Arena and brought young people together to celebrate the change that they are making in their local and global communities. Guest speakers and performers included Prince Harry, Al Gore, Sir Richard Branson, Elle Goulding, Clive Owen and Dizzee Rascal to name a few. Megabooth showed their support with their newest photo booth, the Inflatable Photo Pod. A fully interactive social media service to help raise awareness for We Day.

Beats By Dre

For the past 2 years we’ve collaborated with Beats on a number of innovative campaigns they’ve set up. In 2013, Beats By Dre sponsored Tinie Tempah’s new album launch, and the electronic giants opted for branded social pod and gave out Beats Headphones as props. This year, Beats curated a bright, bold and vibrant #DrenchedNails campaign in collaboration with London’s flyest nail artist Sophy Robson. The takeover took place in a concept nail salon in London and we supplied a second branded Beats by Dre photo pod to keep the crowds, that queued long into the night, entertained in between nail appointments. Foxy Bingo Magic Weekend

The Super League Magic Weekend is one of the highlights of the Rugby League season, pulling in crowds of over 60,000 for the past 7 years. The Magic Weekend took place at Manchester City’s Etihad stadium back in May and featured a handful of stars from the England national team including Ryan Hall, Josh Charnley, Kevin Sinfield and Ben Westwood. To add a bit of Foxy flavour to the weekend, official sponsor Foxy Bingo supplied a branded taxi photo booth in their trademark aluminous pink to add some foxy fun to The Magic Weekend.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Since the NFL arrived in London a few years ago, the demand for the sport has amplified.  The Jacksonville Jaguars took over the Westfield shopping complex in Stratford for a free event in the summer ahead of their clash at Wembley Stadium with the Dallas Cowboys. The NFL superstars along with the team’s cheerleaders, THE ROAR of the Jaguars, gave their fans the opportunity to get up close and personal with them, while the teams 2014 NFL Draft celebrations was streamed live from New York City. For the day, we provided a branded photo pod and backdrop in the Jacksonville Jaguars colours and logo. Watch the video below.

One Difference – One Water

One Difference is the UK’s leading ethical bottled water brand – and this year the company celebrated 10 years of saving lives. The profits from every bottle continue to help rebuild lives that have been affected by their water supply. To celebrate their 10 year anniversary, One Difference launched their #InstantHero campaign, to help raise awareness for those affected in Africa by contaminated water and said a toast to reaching the astonishing milestone of £10 million to help rebuild lives in the continent. The campaign was set up to promote one’s inner superpowers by becoming an Instant Hero and buying a bottle of One Water. From sailing across the Thames on the grand Silver Sturgeon to joining the One Difference team as they embarked on a small UK tour, including four days at Kings Cross Station and a day at Waterloo Station before heading north to Manchester, the branded photo pod transformed all the One Water shoppers into an Instant Hero.

New Graffiti Taxi Photo Booth

One of our many London Black Taxi Photo Booths received a bewitching makeover on the streets of East London by free hand graffiti artist Mr Cenz aka Julian Plethean. The taxi was transformed into Alice in Wonderland’s enchanted forest with gargantuan magical mushrooms and various other kinds of weird and wonderful psychedelic intricacies.
