Megabooth Photo Experiences Abroad
After successful trips to Italy, Portugal, Germany and Spain in the last few years, Megabooth is currently developing international packages to hire their photo booths and other photographic experiences they have to offer.
Our retro Mini Cooper travelled to Barcelona for a corporate event that took place at one of Antoni Gaudi’s masterpieces the Casa Batlló – it’s Gaudí at his hallucinogenic best. The facade, sprinkled with bits of blue, mauve and green tiles and studded with wave-shaped window frames and balconies, rises to an uneven blue-tiled roof with a solitary tower – a perfect fit for one of Britain’s finest exports.
Megabooth and sister company The Social Picture joined Universal Music in Berlin for a VIP Newcomer event for their selected media and business partners in the Roadrunner’s Paradise Club – We teamed up with Universal business party and beauty brand Essence in support of the GreenTec Awards and after party. Working with Universal Music in Berlin was an opportunity to unveil our most exciting product in 2015, Glow photography.
Hashtag printing with HTC at the UEFA Champions League Final in Berlin
We worked with HTC to create a bespoke smartphone photo booth for all the UEFA Champions League fixtures for the 2014/15 season -the custom photo booth used the HTC One M8 technology – the M8 was HTC’s most cutting edge and innovative handset at the time. We finished the 2014/15 Champions League season at the Olympiastadion in Berlin and introduced our double sided hashtag printing station that was situated in the HTC VIP hospitality suite.
FIBO 2015 in Germany is the largest fitness exhibition in Europe, attracting tens of thousands of health and fitness enthusiasts from around the globe. We supplied nutrition and fitness brand Optimum Nutrition with their very own selfie photo booth to entertain the queue before they picked up all their freebies from the stand. This was the first of two events with Optimum Nutrition, the second fitness expo, Body Power, took place at the NEC in Birmingham – it’s the fastest growing consumer exhibition in Europe.
The Tata Group is an Indian multinational conglomerate headquartered in Mumbai, India. It was founded in 1868 and gained international recognition after purchasing several global companies. It is one of India’s largest conglomerates. The event celebrated India and Germany coming together to create a world leading team with complimentary skills. We worked with sister company The Social Picture to curate a live event photography experience for the employees of TATA and EEPC.
CPHL 2015 worldwide in Madrid is the the leading Global Pharma Expo in the world with more than 36,000 pharma industry professionals from 140+ countries, sources new suppliers, build relationships with existing partners and identify new business opportunities in the heart of Spain, Madrid. We joined Teva Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (TAPI), they are the leading international supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients on their stand this year and provided them with two branded photo pods and backdrops with functionality that included instant prints, Instagram filters and social media and email uploads. For three consecutive years we’ve provided nutrition brand Herbalife with a unique photo experience for their annual European extravaganza. Visitors to the Herbalife Extravaganza in Barcelona uploaded photos to their personal Instagram and Twitter accounts, with the all-important hashtag #HerbalifeExtravaganza and collected their branded prints from the social media printing kiosk, part of the social media experience at the event. The Frontier Awards in Cannes recognises and rewards the achievements of those individuals and teams that are responsible for raising the standards of retailing and the quality of products in travel retail. We’ve teamed up with Cabeau, a one-stop shop offering innovative travel neck pillows, compression socks, universal travel adapters, adjustable sleep masks and travel blankets. The Frontier Awards 2015 celebrates the efforts of pioneers in both practice and product.
In April 2012, Megabooth accompanied Hackett London in opening its first flagship store in Milan, Italy. The campaign “London arrives in Milan” was conveyed perfectly through the iconic black taxi photo booth. For the official launch party in Milan, the store had a distinctive ‘British atmosphere’, themed with a number of quintessential British symbols such as the famous red telephone box, bowler hats and of course the Hackett branded taxi.
In 2013, Megabooth joined the thousands of partygoers on the White Isles of Ibiza for the launch of Ushuaia night club, widely recognised as one of the best open-air clubs in Europe. The taxi photo booth seamlessly fitted into its surroundings with a sunset and music themed makeover. The taxi spent most of the summer soaking up the rays on the White Island. Megabooth is set to spend a second season in Ibiza in 2015.
In 2013 and 2014 Megabooth collaborated with Herbalife to create unique photo experiences for their loyal following. In 2013, The Herbalife Extravaganza took place in Cologne, Germany and was the perfect opportunity to showcase the interactive photo pod, which at the time was the latest innovation in photo booth experiences. For most of the 10,000 visitors who attended the Extravaganza, they got to take home a memento from the biggest event on the Herbalife Calendar.
Prague, Czech Republic
Herbalife moved their Extravaganza to Prague in 2014, and the event opted for more social experience. Megabooth teamed up with the social media team at Herbalife to create a photo experience using the buzz word(s) #HerbalifeExtravaganza. The hashtag-printing kiosk was the centerpiece at a sold out 02 Arena in Prague. The Herbalife Faithful shared their pictures from the event on Twitter and Instagram and then printed the photos off at a state of art printing station. Read about it here.
The UEFA Champions League Final in Lisbon, Portugal, was a major highlight in 2014 for the Megabooth team. The event saw Megabooth collaborate with Facebook and HTC to transform the Champions League festival site in Lisbon to an interactive photographic experience. Megabooth teamed up with HTC to create an innovative photo booth app to roam the site and capture the spirit of the Champions League, and Facebook for the trophy stand photo experience. The Trophy Stand experience was set up to give the thousands of fans that descended on the Portuguese capital an opportunity to take home a very special souvenir of them up close and personal to the most prestigious trophy in European football. Most of Megabooth’s fleet of car photo booths travel all over the UK, in 2014 the black taxi photo booth was sponsored by Durex for the MTV EMA awards in Glasgow. The Someone Like Me campaign was an integral part of the EMAs and the black taxi photo booth sat proudly outside the new SEE Hydro arena in the Scottish capital.
